Corporate Affairs is developing the Integrated Platform for Insolvency Ecosystem (iPIE), a unified digital platform to integrate all stakeholders, processes, and technology systems operating under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 (IBC). The objective is to create a seamless, secure, transparent, and paperless insolvency ecosystem with end-to-end digital workflows and reduced manual intervention.<\/p>\n<p>The MCA has appointed KPMG Advisory Services Pvt. Ltd. as the Project Management Unit and CMS Computers India Pvt. Ltd. as the System Integrator for developing the Integrated Platform for Insolvency Ecosystem (iPIE). The platform aims to digitally connect all major IBC stakeholders, improve transparency, reduce delays, and streamline insolvency proceedings. MCA has invited stakeholder feedback to ensure the platform addresses practical challenges and industry needs. The initiative comes amid rising CIRP timelines (744 days vs. the prescribed 330 days) and declining recovery rates under the IBC, highlighting the need for a more efficient and technology-driven insolvency framework.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_Integrated_Platform_for_Insolvency_Ecosystem_iPIE\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Why Integrated Platform for Insolvency Ecosystem (iPIE)?<\/strong><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Currently, the insolvency ecosystem functions through multiple standalone systems requiring extensive manual coordination among stakeholders. The proposed platform seeks to Improve efficiency and transparency in insolvency proceedings, Facilitate real-time information exchange, Enhance accountability and ease of doing business, Reduce delays and procedural bottlenecks and Create a single source of truth for insolvency-related information.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Key_Stakeholders_to_be_Integrated_Platform_for_Insolvency_Ecosystem_iPIE\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Key Stakeholders to be\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Integrated Platform for Insolvency Ecosystem (iPIE)<\/strong><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The platform aims to connect NCLT and NCLAT, Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI), National E-Governance Services Ltd. Asset registers, valuation reports, information memoranda, and transaction audits.<\/li>\n<li>Resolution\/Repayment Plan Management: EoI publication, virtual data rooms, and resolution plan submission and approval tracking.<\/li>\n<li>Implementation &amp; Monitoring: Resolution plan implementation, distribution of proceeds, and reporting and compliance tracking.<\/li>\n<li>Liquidation &amp; Bankruptcy Management: Liquidation estate management, Asset auctions. Distribution waterfall tracking.
