- India’s market share in the global toy trade has slightly increased, but it still falls short of China’s.
- Although toys are not China’s principal export, they make up nearly two-thirds of all toys sold worldwide.
- Toy exports totaled $73.2 billion globally in 2021, with China accounting for $6.2% of that total, or $48.5 billion, of which mainland China accounted for $46.1 billion and Hong Kong $2.4 billion. Comparatively, only 0.23 percent of toys exported worldwide were from India.
