How to Submit Feedback on the Income Tax Bill, 2025
CBDT has introduced a dedicated feedback utility on its e-filing portal to encourage stakeholder participation. Follow these steps to share your inputs:
Step 1: Access the Feedback Utility :Visit the CBDT e-filing portal: eportal.incometax.gov.in
- On the homepage, go to the “What’s New” section. Click on the press release titled:
“Seeking stakeholders’ input for drafting Income-tax Rules and related forms consequent to the Income Tax Bill, 2025.” In the dossier, find the utility link for submitting feedback. Click on “Click here” to proceed.
Step 2: Log in and Verify Your Identity:
- Log in using your Income Tax e-filing credentials. Authenticate via OTP: Enter the one-time password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number.
Step 3: Submit Your Feedback: Provide detailed feedback, ensuring you:
- Clearly reference specific sections, sub-sections, rules, or forms under the Income Tax Rules, 1962. Suggest any improvements or modifications with proper justification.
Step 4: Submit Suggestions/feedback and retain the acknowledgment for future reference.:
