GSTN Advisory on Improved E-Invoicing Initiatives & Introductions Improved E-Invoice Portal
The e-invoice master information portal, the e-invoice QR Code Verifier app, and the additional five new IRP portals were successfully launched a year ago. The Goods and Services Tax Network is pleased to announce the launch of the updated e-invoice master information portal at https://einvoice.gst.gov.in; Goods and Services Tax Network Advisory No. 624 dated February 21, 2024. This additional Features is a result on ongoing effort to more efficient Tax paying system & services towards the GST taxpayer. Additional characteristics of the revamped E-Invoicing portal are mentioned as below:
- Permanent Account Number Based Search:It Allows users to check status of the -invoice enablement status by using their Permanent Account Number or Goods and Services Tax Identification Number as Search Criteria.
- Global Search Bar For easier access to data on Goods and Services Tax Portal A Comprehensive search tab has been Introduced.
- Automatic E-invoice exemption List: Goods and Services Tax Portal now furnishes automatically up to date list containing all Goods and Services Tax Identification Number’s filing that have been filed at the start of the month for e-invoice exemptions and also provides the option for download.
- Regular Daily Invoice Reference Number Count Statistics: GSTIN Portal now incorporates statistical data on the daily IRN generation count.
- Local Search Capabilities: Search Function has been improved for advisory, Frequently asked questions, Manuals & other Areas for better access to information.
- Revamped Advisory and Frequently asked questions Section: Oraganising yearly and monthly wise for efficient reference, providing thorough assistance & related guidance.
- Improved Accessibility Compliance and UI/UX: Complying with the Global Intelligence Working Group Guidelines, the portal now facilitates better access by providing features like contrast adjustment, text resizing buttons, & screen reader support for easy access.
- Dedicated Section on Mobile App: Availability of the information & support for the e-invoice QR Code Application.
- Updated Website Policy: The Company website policy has been regularly updated including the website content management, archival policy, moderation policy & web information manager information & details
From last year’s , E-invoices number reported via the new Invoice Registration Portal’s were more than INR 1.6 Cr, proving that the GST system is efficient & Robust. Also, to enhance monitoring of the e-invoice ecosystem Introduction of internal e-invoice comprehensive health dashboard has been done. Because of the mentioned facilities in the Goods and Services Tax Network E-Invoicing System, today we have:
Expansion of Invoice Registration Portal’s:
Today, Goods and Services Tax Network facilitates operation of 6th Invoice Registration Portal through its partners, running robustly with the centralized de-duplication system.
- E-Invoicing Reporting Accessibility: Eligible taxpayer can report e-invoices for e-invoice reporting from any of the six Invoice Registration Portal. Portal has made the process very convenient and accessible for taxpayers as reporting can be done via APIs, online, or from a Mobile application, & all of these can be free of cost.
- Hourly Auto population of e-invoices in GSTR-1 from new Invoice Reporting Portals. Additionally, we are working on hourly auto-population of e-invoices of GSTR-1 reported on NIC-IRP 1 & 2 portal. with NIC-IRP.
- E-invoice QR code verifier App for authentication of e-invoice, and search Invoice Reference Number functionality for online verification of Invoice Reference Number.
- E-invoice download for past 6 months for both sellers & buyers via e-invoice portals & G2B APIs
Additionally, updated application of the e-invoice verifier, containing new & better features, will be available shortly.
